Vintage 1950s Party Dress Metallic White Lace & Taffeta Sz S

This is a wonderful 1950s party dress made of silver metallic infused white lace with a chiffon stole that covers the bateau neckline and falls down the left side.  It is sleeveless with defined waist - the skirt is gathered in tucks around the dropped waistline so that it flares out to a mid calf length.  The dress was photographed with a crinoline - the use of a crinoline creates a fuller look although it’s not absolutely necessary.  The dress closes with a metal zipper down the back.  This 1950s party dress is constructed with the layer of lace over an off-white satin over tulle.

Fabric:  There is no content label, but the lace is synthetic, maybe acrylic or some other synthetic, while the satin appears to be acetate.

Sizing:  No size is indicated, and although this should fit a medium size with a small waist, please note the following measurements for fit:

Bust:  36” 

Waist:  24” 

Hips:  36”

Length: 39”, measured flat from the top to the hemline

Condition:  Aside from the aforementioned torn cotton slip, this 1950s party dress is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odour.
