This is a bespoke 2 piece mens tweed suit made in 1972 by the London tailor Lesley and Roberts for an important Canadian lawyer. Lesley and Roberts catered to an upper class clientele including aristocrats, diplomats and entertainment celebrities. They were bought by Savile Row tailor Welsh and Jefferies in 1999 and their operations and client list were absorbed by them. The suit belonged to one of the two founders of an important Canadian law firm (see tailors label) founded as a two man firm in 1952 and now with eight offices located in Canada and in other international locations.

The suit is made in a quality muted brownish green tweed with a tattersall red check. The shoulders are slightly padded and there is a besom pocket built into either side as well as a breast pocket. The jacket has medium width notched lapels. The sleeves have 4 button cuffs, and the back has a 9” long double vent. The pants are pleated and have a sizing tab at either side.
