Antique Elite Limoges Porcelain Lidded Serving Dish w 2 Platters Pink Roses
$195.00
Brand Etsy
This is a very pretty set of porcelain dishes comprised of a lidded vegetable serving dish with matching under platter as well as a second larger serving platter. The set was made by Bawo & Dotter at their Elite Works, located in Limoges, France. The marks used on the underside of each piece were used between 1896 and 1920 - I would estimate that this set dates to about 1910. The set is decorated with pink roses overall with green leaves and brown stems and other pretty white flowers - all pieces are trimmed in gold. The lid has a notch in it that would accommodate a serving spoon. The vegetable dish measures 12 in length, including its handles by about 7 1/2 in width, with a height of 4, exclusive of the covers finial. The under platter measures 9 5/8 by 14 while the larger platter measures 11 1/2 by 16 3/4. All three pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear - this set looks to have seen little to no use and to have been well stored over the years. The set weighs close to 8 lbs - due to fragility and weight, this set will be double boxed in an oversized box. Beautiful quality set - very pretty table setting!
