Antique Embroidered Linen Handkerchief Swiss Appenzell Style Embroidery - VFG

This is an embroidered linen handkerchief that features what looks like Swiss Appenzell embroidery. Im uncertain, however, as to origin, as the Chinese replicated similar work, but usually incorporated Asian motifs, so this very well might be of Swiss origin. The embroidery has a greyish tone to it. The handkerchief measures 11 5/8 by 12. The hankie appears to be in excellent condition but there is a slight yellowish tone at the fold on the backside, understandable for a hankie of this age - very slight and a cleaning would eliminate this.
This is a very intricately embroidered linen handkerchief - lovely quality!
