Antique Scottish Mauchline Ware Spectacles Case Robert Burns Cottage Alloway

This is an antique Mauchline ware spectacles case that has text that reads Made of Wood which grew On the Banks of the Doon Bought In The Cottage. On the same side is an illustration of the interior of the cottage where Burns was born. The other side has an illustration of Alloway Kirk, where Burns parents are buried. The piece measures 5 3/4 in length 1 1/2 in width and 3/8 in thickness. The case is velvet lined. It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear. Nice collectible piece for either the spectacles collector, the Robert Burns collector or the Mauchline ware collector!
