Saint James France Cardigan Sweater Wool Knit Yacht Wear Ladies US Size 12

This is a quality pre-owned cardigan sweater made in France by Saint James, suitable for sailing or the yacht club.  It is made with a six brass button closure, each button decorated with a raised Saint James logo and “Saint James” stamped on the periphery.  The cuff of each sleeve has three similar buttons - very rich looking.  There is a chest pocket and a large pocket at either front side.

Label:  Saint James Made in France Since 1889.  Saint James is a town located on the Baie Mont Saint Michel in Normandy, on the English Channel.  It has a history dating to the 11th century of producing quality wool used for keeping the sailors and fishermen of France warm.  The Saint James Spinning Mills was established in 1889 and known for making the famous blue and white striped Breton sweater amongst other knitwear.

Sizing: The size label reads US size 12, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the stretch of the wool into account:

Sleeves:  23” from the shoulder seam

Waist:  42” around

Bottom: 42” around

Length: 30”, measured flat

Condition: This is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, staining or odour - might benefit from a dry cleaning, although perfectly usable as is.
