Vintage 1950s English Toffee Tin Fragonard Courting Couples

This is a vintage 1950s era English toffee tin featuring Fragonard courting couples. The tin is made in a canister form with top handle. The tin measures about 7 in height to the lids finial and exclusive of its handle, and has a diameter of 4 1/2. It is in quite good condition with a few tiny scratches but the lids finial is pushed in on one side and the handle is a little bent. The Fragonard scenes around the barrel are a little out of register, but this isnt noticeable under casual viewing and original to the manufacture. Otherwise, this tin is quite clean and displays very well. This is a lovely tin - nice colour and the gold really pops under lighting!
