Vintage 1950s Royal Winton Le Vieux Canada Cake Plate Quebec French Canadian Motifs

This is a cake plate made in England by Royal Winton that is decorated in the “Le Vieux Canada (Old Canada) pattern. The pattern consists of transfer printed subjects relating to historical Quebec, each labeled in French. Amongst the iconic images are the Chateau Frontenac, fur trappers, voyageurs, the settlers cabin, and the making of soap. The plate is made in a square shape, has a rim that is decorated with a raised pattern in the ceramic and is trimmed in gold. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or pronounced wear. The plate measures 10 3/4 square and is impress date stamped 10/57. Nice Quebec display plate!
