This is a striking 100% pure cashmere pullover shell sweater made in Scotland by Ballantyne for Holt Renfrew of Canada. It dates to the 1960s. The sweater is in a very attractive cherry red colour, a little towards the magenta tone. It is basically sleeveless or has cap sleeves, has a rounded “jewel” neckline, and is otherwise very simple. It does up at the upper back with a nylon zipper. It is unlined and the neckline, arm openings and bottom are ribbed. The cashmere is light and ultra soft.
Label: Made in Scotland Expressly for Holt Renfrew in Canada by Ballantyne 100% Pure Cashmere
