This is a lovely quality 100% pure cashmere pullover sweater made in Scotland by Ballantyne for Holt Renfrew of Canada. It dates to the 1960s. The border of the opening is knit with a decorative raised “roped” pattern in tones of pink and white while the rest of the sweater is a solid pink colour. It has above-the-wrist length sleeves and a rounded “jewel” neckline. It does up with eight covered buttons. It is unlined and the neckline, cuffs and bottom are ribbed. The cashmere is in a medium thickness yet light and ultra soft.
