Vintage 1972 Lucid Lines Alphonse Mucha Zodiac Reverse Printed Glass Shadowbox

This is a wonderful reverse printed glass shadowbox frame featuring the Alphonse Mucha Zodiac illustration. It was made in 1972 by Lucid Lines Inc of Culver City, California. Lucid Lines was incorporated in 1971, so this is an early piece. The frame measures 16 1/4 by 20 1/4 with a depth of 1" and the piece is in excellent condition - very well cared for over the last 50+ years. Zodiac was created by Mucha in 1896 as the first work under contract for the printer Champenois and was meant for use as an in-house calendar. It became his most popular work, seeing a resurgence during the 1970s when Art Nouveau design was in vogue with the chic Hippie crowd. Gorgeous display piece!
