This is a wonderful vintage brooch made in the form of a bird with a head feather crest, probably meant to represent a crane, but could be a heron, egret or even a stork.  The piece is intricately made of chromed metal that holds clear rhinestones overall.  The head is represented by a faux pearl and the beak and claws are painted in red and yellow enamel paint.  It measures 4 1/2” in height and is in very good condition with no noticeable defect.  I believe that it dates to the 1930s or 40s.
