Yves Saint Laurent Three Piece Suit Jacket Pants & Skirt Black Wool Ladies S M

This is a vintage Yves Saint Laurent three piece ensemble consisting of a jacket, pants and skirt.  The three pieces are made of black wool.  The ensemble was made in France during the 1970s under the “Rive Gauche” label.  The blouse is trimmed in red and has a five red plastic button front closure.  It is made with a simple rounded neckline, no collar, and has padded shoulders with a puff at the top of the sleeve.  It is fully lined in black rayon viscose fabric.  The skirt is made in a below the knee length, has tucks gathered below the waistline and is also fully lined.  The pants have a pleated front and a straight leg, so no taper to the cuff.  They are unlined.

Sizing: The jacket and pants have a size 38 label while the skirt has a size 40 label - these are vintage French sizes, and although this should fit a medium size, the waist is fairly small, so please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the garment into consideration:

Shoulders:  15” across, from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves:  22” from the t shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam:  16 1/2”

Bust:  37” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  33” around

Overall length:  20”, measured flat

Condition: It is in very good condition - very clean and well kept with no signs of having been used except slight soiling/toning to the labels.  

This is a beautiful quality ensemble by one of the most important Paris fashion designers……classic design that looks contemporary!
