This is a wonderful vintage 1940s crepe scarf featuring a novelty print consisting of “Calling All Girls” magazine covers. Calling All Girls was the second oldest girls’ magazine in the United States, behind Seventeen magazine. It merged with Compact magazine to become Young Miss (YM) during the 1960s. All of the covers depicted are from 1946 into 1947.

Label: None - but “Babé” is signed within the border of the print

Age: 1940s

Material: Crepe, probably a rayon crepe

Sizing: 30” square

Condition: It is in very good condition with the exception of two pinhead sized holes, visible when viewing the scarf with strong lighting behind it. Also, there is a bit of discoloration to the green border, a few spots where the color has gone yellow, nothing very pronounced. This scarf still would make a great display piece and is ready to be used and worn.

This is a wonderful vintage novelty print scarf - great piece if you collect girls’ magazines.
