Vintage 1960s Sequinned Dress w Trompe L’Oeil Necklace

This is a wonderful vintage 1960s sequinned dress made of black wool crepe with a trompe l’oeil necklace affixed to the bodice.  The trompe l’oeil pendant necklace is made of two tones of green, magenta, copper, blue and orange sequins and yellow beads affixed to the crepe fabric - there is a single yellow rhinestone in the centre of the pendant.   The dress has a V notched jewel neckline.  There is a box pleat that runs down the centre front.  This vintage 1960s sequinned dress is fully lined with polished cotton and the dress does up the back with a nylon zipper.

Label:  Just the letter E on cotton that is sewn over the ILGWU (International Ladies Garments Workers Union) label.  This Canadian ILGWU label was in use from 1968 until 1984. 

Age:  Late 1960s

Fabric label:  None, but I am sure that this crepe fabric is wool based.  It is fairly heavy, so falls beautifully, a sign of quality 

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this vintage 1960s sequinned dress should fit a medium to large size, please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 16” across shoulder seams

Bust:  38” around

Waist: 34” around

Hips:  38” around

Length:  38”, measured flat

Condition:  This vintage 1960s sequinned dress is in excellent condition with no wear, tear or staining - this looks like it saw little use and has been very well kept over the years.
