This is a 1990s vintage Save The Queen dress made in Italy. This vintage Save The Queen dress has a scoop neckline, long sleeves and is made in an ankle length. It has a panel at either side that can hang loose, or that can be tied either at the front or at the back (see photos). The back of the dress is black mesh that is decorated with a raised chenille-like design. The fabric is printed with an ornate tribal influenced pattern, quite beautiful. There are no closures, so the dress simply fits over the head onto the body.
Label: Save The Queen! Save The Queen! was established by Marco Fantini during the late 1980s.
Fabric: 100% nylon so there is stretch to the fabric.
Sizing: Size XL is indicated, but this vintage Save The Queen dress fits my model which is a size medium. There is stretch, but please note the following measurements for fit, which are more in keeping with a medium size:
Shoulders: 14” across, unstretched, across shoulder/sleeve seams
Sleeves: 27” long
Sleeve inseam: 21 1/2”
Bust: 34” around unstretched, stretches out to as much as 38”
Waist: 27” around
Hips: 36” around
Length: 60”, measured flat
Condition: This vintage Save The Queen dress is in excellent condition with no wear, tear, staining or odour - it looks like it saw little, if any, use, and was well stored
This is a nice example of a vintage Save The Queen dress - striking pattern, Italian style!
