Antique Porcelain Shell Dish Victoria Carlsbad Austria 1891 - 1918

This is an antique shell shaped dish made by Porzellanfabrik Victoria Schmidt & Co of Carlsbad, Austria. I have eight of these - price is for one only. The pattern features small delicate flowers that are transfer printed. The porcelain has raised detail, a scalloped edge and a turned scroll with a bowl-like form that sits on a raised base. The stamped mark on the underside was used from 1891 until 1918. This dish measures 5 1/2 by 6 with a height of 2 at the scroll handle. Each is in very good condition - some degradation to the yellow detail of the transfer print (see last close-up photo), slight paint wear to the blue rim and one of the eight has a short hairline, very minor. Wonderful shape, this dish could be used for a number of different purposes.
