Antique Roses Moustache Cup Mustache Mug Germany

This is a lovely antique porcelain moustache cup or mug that is hand painted with beautiful roses. The cup has a bridge that would stop ones moustache from getting wet. These cups were popular from about 1850 until 1910, but this one dates to 1891-1910. It is marked on the underside with Germany with the number 41 within its centre. The cup has a top diameter of 3 3/8 and a height of 3 1/8. It is in very good condition with the exception of a small shallow top edge chip (view the last close-up photo), quite minor. Otherwise, this cup displays very well. This is a very pretty cup - nice quality and lovely floral decoration!
