Antique Victorian Bristol Glass Opalescent Vase Hand Painted Flowers

This is an antique Victorian era vase made of hand painted glass. You can see the gold colour in the glass when viewing it with a strong light behind it, so it is a type of opalescent glass. I believe that it is generically referred to as Bristol glass because it is an opaque coloured glass although it is not technically Bristol, which is normally blue - all British coloured glass of the period came to be referred to as Bristol glass. The glass is hand blown and made in an unusual caf brown colour. The flower in the centre is edge lined in raised enamel. The vase measures 7 5/8 in height and is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear. This is an interesting antique piece of glass - nice shape, unusual colour, lovely display piece!
