1960s Houndstooth Coat Ladies Wool Trench Style S XS

This is a striking ladies’ vintage 1960s houndstooth coat made in tones of green, orange, brown and black with touches of white against a tan background colour.  This 1960s houndstooth coat is designed in a trench style with neck bridge, military type squared collar and lapel, removable epaulets, cut away flaps at the upper chest and across the back, button-down belt at the cuffs, six button double-breasted front, button to close the neck under the left collar, button decorated side pockets and a matched sash belt at the waist.  There is a box pleat at the bottom back and this 1960s houndstooth coat is fully lined with an interlining for extra warmth

Sizing: The size label reads 5/6 but this is a vintage sizing.  Although this 1960s houndstooth coat should fit an extra small size, please note the following measurements for fit taken from the exterior - factor in the thickness of the wool:

Shoulders:  17” across from seam-to-seam

Sleeves:  22” long from shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam:  17 1/2”

Bust: 35” around, taken under the arms - allow room for fit

Waist: 27” around, uncinched

Hips:  35”

Overall length: 33”, taken at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This 1960s houndstooth coat is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear or stains - this coat was well cared for and stored over the years.
