This is a mid century German pottery vase featuring a modernistic abstract hand painted design. The designed is in colours of blue and brown against a white background with the upper neck lightly brushed with a tan brown colour. The interior is brown gloss glazed. It measures 10 in height and 4 in diameter. It is stamped on the underside with “Made in Germany and incised with “XXI. It is in very good condition with the exception of wear to the top edge - it appears that the original owner had glued something to the top edge and when I removed the dried glue remnants, some of the glaze came off (see last close-up photo). This is only noticeable when looking down onto the top and could be touched up if it bothered you, otherwise the vase displays very well.
