This is a vintage mid-century pottery bowl made by the Swedish pottery Upsala Ekeby. The bowl features an exterior glaze meant to replicate wood, sitting on an orange glazed ball with a wood glazed foot. The interior of the bowl is glazed in orange. The underside is signed UE Sweden 9043 - the UE is a little difficult to make out. The underside is also hand incised with the initials BT, possibly for Bertil Ternell. The piece measures 9 5/8 in diameter with a height of 5 3/4. It is in very good condition with the exception of a small chip to the outside top rim (see last closeup photo), really minor - otherwise, there are some small orange dots in one area near the top, original to the making of the piece (see close-up photo).
