Vintage 1920s Flapper Dress Beaded Silk Chiffon Size M as is

This is a gorgeous 1920s flapper dress made in black silk chiffon fabric that is hand beaded with iridescent black and blue beads.  This 1920s flapper dress is sleeveless with a rounded neckline and dropped waist.  The skirt of the dress is gathered at the sides below the waist, which creates a pleated look and provides for leg movement.  The dress is unlined and the fabric is translucent, so should be worn with a slip.

Sizing: There is no size label and although this 1920s flapper dress should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Bust:  37” around, should be a little roomy

Waist: 37” around, meant to be loose, due to straight cut of style.

Hips:  42” around 

Overall length: 43”, measured flat 

Condition: This 1920s flapper dress has a hole at the left shoulder strap (see last close-up photo) and a tiny tear at the right armpit (see second to last close-up photo), really minor damage considering the delicacy of silk chiffon that is weighted down by beading.  A good seamstress would be able to properly repair and reinforce these areas.  I noticed one loose string of beads at the right shoulder strap and some beads missing from the centre motif at the back (see third to last photo) - there may be other beads missing, but nothing obvious, the beading appears to be mostly present, and is fabulous.  

This is a striking 1920s flapper dress -  very classy, sparkly beading!
