This is a lovely vintage 1920s silk nightgown with lace trim. The piece is made of a lightweight sheer silk that I believe is called either “pongee” or “China silk”. The silk is in an aqua blue colour and has white lace trim over the shoulder straps, along the top edge and on the front bodice. The shoulder straps have a piece affixed to them that goes around the upper arm. It has some needlework in the form of squares on the bodice and there is blue ribbon inserted through the lace. This vintage 1920s silk nightgown is made in an airy form.
