Vintage 1940s Wall Pocket Head Vase African Prince Royal Copley

This is a wonderful vintage head vase or wall pocket made in the form of an turbaned African Prince. The piece is signed Royal Copley in raised lettering at the back. Royal Copley is a brand name of the Spaulding China Company of Sebring, Ohio that was started in 1939 and active until 1960. This wall pocket measures 8 1/4 in height and about 5 in width at its widest with a depth of about 4. It is in very good condition with the exception of surface crazing that is exaggerated in the photos by camera lighting - also there is a tiny low glaze spot at the lower back (see last close-up photo), very minor. This is a very nice display object - wonderful form!
