This is a silk twill scarf featuring a fabulous illustration of a woman by a Paris newspaper kiosque on a windy day with newspapers blowing all about her.  The newspapers are labeled Paris Soir, Le Figaro, Le Matin, L’Instransigent, Illustration etc.  The scarf has a hand rolled edge.

Age: 1950s,

Label: Simpson’s Made in Italy.  Simpson’s was a well-known Montreal department store, known for good quality for price.

Color: Teal green border with illustration in brown, teal, dropped-out white, gray blue, black and tan

Material: Silk twill

Size: 30 1/2” by 30”

Condition:  It is in very good condition, pre-owned, but with no staining, odour or tears - there are a couple of very tiny pinpricks, slight wear to the label and the hand rolled edge is a little uneven in a couple of places, but these are all very minor issues.

This is a wonderful vintage illustration - exceptional period scarf, great addition to a scarf collection!
