This is a vintage 1960s small handbag purse made in the form of a treasure chest. The interior is stamped “Derma Made in Spain”.  The zipper pull on the interior has “Areitio” emboss stamped on it with a horse within a horseshoe on the opposite side.  Areitio is known for making these type of chest handbags during the 1950s and 60s, so it is quite possible that Areitio made this for Derma, which I believe may have been an importer and distributor.  The purse has a leather skin exterior and brass hardware - brass hinges, clasp, studs and bun feet, which are affixed to leather pieces that are wrapped around the lower corners of the purse.  The interior is lined in black leather and has one zippered pocket built onto one open pocket.  It has leather covered handles. 

Sizing:  The purse measures 6 1/4” wide by 5 1/2” high by 4 3/4” deep at its bottom.  The handles have a “fall” of 4 1/4”. 

Condition:  It is in very good condition - this purse doesn’t look to have seen much, if any, use and is very clean.

This is a wonderful quality purse - cutest shape, sure to be noticed!
