Vintage 1960s Dandy Fashion Coat Wool Gabardine & Velvet M

This is a fabulous 1960s dandy fashion coat featuring black wool worsted gabardine with plush velvet trim.  This 1960s dandy fashion coat has a pointy collar with high set wide lapels, padded shoulders and a velvet flapped pocket at either side.  It has a six button front with two buttons at either sleeve cuff.  All of the buttons are covered in black velvet as are the collar and lapels and there is a black velvet belt across the back.  The back has a 11 1/2” kick vent at the bottom centre.  The coat is fully lined in black rayon.   

Label:  No maker’s label on this 1960s dandy fashion coat, just “Made in France” and a small label on the inside of the interior pocket.

Sizing: No size is indicated on this 1960s dandy fashion coat - it should fit a medium size, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders:  18” across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam

Sleeves:  25 1/2” long

Sleeve Inseam:  16 1/2” long

Chest:  45” around, taken under the arms, 22 1/2” across pit-to-pit

Waist:  41” around

Hips:  45” around

Overall length: 41" measured laying flat, taken at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This 1960s dandy fashion coat is in very good condition with no wear, tear, pulls, stains or odours except for a small tear at the corner of the interior pocket (see last close-up photo) - this coat looks like it saw little use and was well cared for over the years.
