This is a fabulous vintage men’s suit dating to around 1969, featuring perfect period mod dandy styling. The suit is made in a quality 100% cotton black velvet. The jacket is made in a double breasted style with Napoleonic style lapels and wide collar and with more length than usual. The buttons are arranged two by three. The shoulders are padded and there is a vertical pocket built into either side. The is decorative stitching framing the centre front and back of the jacket. The back has a 123 1/2” long centre vent at the bottom. It is lined in black ssatin. The pants have a flat front, a jetted pocket at either side, and have a leg that widens at the bottom.

Sizing: Size 42 is indicated, but this is a vintage size, so might actually be between a 40/42 please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric into consideration):

Condition: This suit is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odours - this suit looks like it saw very little use and was very well kept over the years.
This is a wonderful example of late 1960x men’s dandy “peacock” fashion - excellent quality and fabulous style, rarely seen!
