This is a vintage early 1970s ladies’ mod suede leather jacket made in a deep brown colour. This mod suede leather jacket has a pointy collar and squared lapel and does up with six silver snaps. It has decorative white stitching overall. There is a patch pocket at either side, each with a zippered opening, and there is a smaller flapped pocket affixed on top of either pocket. This mod suede leather jacket has a longer silhouette and the decorative stitching divides the back into six sections with the bottom middle section formed to accommodate the derriere. It is lined in green acetate fabric..
Label: Atlas Leather Montreal. The lack of bilingual text on a Canadian label definitely dates this prior to 1973, when bilingual labels were required by law.
Sizing: No size is indicated on this mod suede leather jacket, and although this should fit a size small or XS, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of the leather into consideration:
Shoulders: 17” across from seam to seam
Sleeves: 23 1/2” from the shoulder seam
Bust: 34” around, taken under the arms
Waist: 30” around
Hips: 34” around
Overall length: 30“, measured flat
Condition: It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, marking or soiling typical of older suede jackets. It’s not perfect, but not demonstrating much evidence of use.
This is a great looking mod suede leather jacket - perfect mod styling in a nice colour!
