This is a fabulous circa 1970 skirt made in Italy by designer Roberto Cavalli. The skirt is made in a full length with an asymmetrical fringed burlap weave cotton in a shorter length over a plissé cotton so that the plissé cotton is displayed at the bottom front and back. The waistband is made of a floral printed leather and there are printed leather patches applied to the lower sides of the burlap overlay. The patches are printed with different motifs -a fairy, flowers and insects. The skirt closes with a zipper and a snap at the back waist. This is probably one of Cavalli’s earliest designs.
