Vintage 1980s Gianni Versace Black Vinyl Coat with Plush Trim Size L

This is a 1980s black vinyl coat by Gianni Versace.  The coat is made in an oversized style that was popular during the 1980s.  It has large padded and rounded dropped shoulders and long squared collar covered in faux fur plush with diamond shaped lapels below, at waist level.  The sleeves are cut full and have plush cuffs.  There is a pocket built into either side of the coat.  The silhouette is wide at the top and tapers to the bottom.  The back has a beautiful draped look.  The coat closes with one button at the waist and the coat is lined in black wool.

Sizing: There is no size label, and although this should fit a large size, so please rely on the following measurements for fit keeping in mind the oversized style of the piece:

Shoulders:  25” across the pads - note that the shoulder seams were “dropped”

Sleeves: 19 1/2” long from the dropped shoulder seam with the cuff unturned - the cuff measured about 3”, meaning a length of 16 1/2” from the seam

Sleeve inseam:  17”

Bust: 56”, around, taken under the arms

Waist: 50”, around

Bottom:  46”, around

Overall length: 43”, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition except for wear to the surface vinyl on the left sleeve (see close-up photo).  The edge of each pocket is unstitched on one side, from the original owner’s hands forcing the pockets, but this is easily repairable.  The label is a little soiled, but otherwise, this coat is in very good condition.
