Vintage 1980s GN Buonanno Modernist Brooch Pin Gold Plated w Semi Precious Stones

This is a modernist brooch made by Geraldine N. Buonanno of New York. The piece is made of gold toned metal in a vertical form with curved appendages and dangle at the bottom. It is studded with semi-precious stones - onyx, probably lapis, carnelian, maybe jade, a purple stone and another blue stone. I believe that Buonanno used 14k gold to plate her pieces. It measures 4 3/4 in height including the dangle and about 2 3/4 in width across the serpentine appendages. It is in excellent condition.
GN Buonanno jewelry is gaining popularity and has a following - I would expect her pieces to increase in value in the future, so this is a good investment and a nice example of her work. This is a wonderful brooch, very modern design!
