Vintage 1980s Thierry Mugler Suit Jacket Linen Size 40

blazeThis is a fabulous 1980s Thierry Mugler suit jacket.  The skirt is no longer with this jacket, but this should be easy to match with an appropriate skirt or pants.  This 1980s Thierry Mugler suit jacket is trimmed in gold at the collar, lapels and cuffs.  The jacket closes with three gold fabric covered snaps.  It is quite structured with an accented waist and has a longer length.  There is a large cutaway patch pocket at either side and is lined in tan acetate. .

Sizing: Size 40 is indicated on this 1980s Thierry Mugler suit jacket, which should be equivalent to a US size 10 (medium), but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders:  16 1/2” across shoulder/sleeve seams

Sleeves:  24 1/2” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve inseam:  16 1/2”

Bust:  39” around

Waist: 30” around

Hips:  41” around

Overall length:  26", measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition: This 1980s Thierry Mugler suit jacket is in very good, very clean condition with no wear, tear, holes, stains or odour - there is a greyish mark on the left side next to the lapel, but I think that this is an original defect in the weave of the linen (see last close-up photo).  This 1980s Thierry Mugler suit jacket has been very well cared for and stored over the years.
