Vintage 1990s Black Wool Ladies Suit Brigitte Masson Paris M

This is a vintage black wool ladies suit made in France for Brigitte Masson Paris.  I believe that this wool ladies suit dates to the early 90s, and, of course, being French, is beautifully tailored.  The jacket has a standing collar, squared padded shoulders, front zipper closure, a bag type pocket at either side front and has long sleeves.  It has a defined waist that is covered by a matching belt that is inserted through side slits so that the back of the belt is inside the jacket.  There are tucks under the waistline so that the jacket flares out in drapes.  The upper bodice is trimmed in acrylic faux fur.  The skirt to this wool ladies suit is very simple and tapers down from the hips to the hemline in an above the knee length.  The jacket is lined in black viscose.

Label:  Brigitte Masson Paris Made in France.  The content label also states Made in France and indicates 100% wool.

Sizing: French size 40 is indicated on this wool ladies suit, which should be equivalent to a US size 8 - although this should fit a medium size, please note the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders:  16” across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam

Sleeves:  23” from the shoulder seam 

Sleeve inseam: 16”

Bust: 38” around, 19” across pit-to-pit

Waist: 32”

Hips:  46”

Length: 25” measured at the back
