This is a vintage dressing gown or lounging robe made of a red satin fabric that is woven with an abstract leaf pattern. The shawl lapels and cuffs are made of a faille (fine grosgrain) maroon colored fabric. It has an applied pocket on the left chest and on either side, all trimmed in the same maroon fabric. The piece closes with a matching maroon colored sash belt.

Age: 1950s

Color: Red and maroon.

Sizing: The size label reads M for medium, but this is a vintage size - please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 18” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves: 24” long

Sleeve Inseam: 16” long

Chest: 46”, taken under the arms and depending on overlap

Waist: 46” around, but meant to be cinched with the belt

Overall length: 50", measured flat

Condition:

It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odors. The lapel and cuffs would need a proper pressing, better than I was able to effect with my steamer. There is a bit of dye run on the label, but otherwise, this looks to have been lightly used. I have priced it to allow for a professional dry cleaning, as I have not had it cleaned.
