This is a rare uniform used in 1955 by a stewardess with TCA, Trans Canada Airlines, predecessor to Air Canada.  The uniform is complete except for badges, consisting of jacket, skirt, hat and blouse.  The jacket is dated “May 24 55” and TCA is identified on the label - I obliterated the name on the label in the photo, just for privacy sake, but the name does appear on the label.  The blouse is embroidered “TCA” on its pocket and the label on the blouse reads “Magee 12”.  The label on the jacket reads “Fleet Street Clothes by Tip Top Tailors”.  The hat also has its original label, which reads “Mae Hanauer 18 East 55th St. New York”.  Everything is in very good condition - a bit of wear to the belt and a bit of soiling to the hat label and a shadow where the TCA pin had been on the hat, but this is normal and rather minor.

Sizing: No size is indicated, but it should fit a medium size - please note the following measurements, taken from the exterior, for fit, taking the cut and thickness of the fabric into account:

Jacket:

Shoulders:  16” from shoulder seam to shoulder seam

Sleeves: 24”

Sleeve Inseam:  16 1/2”

Bust: 34” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  28” around

Length:  21”

Skirt:

Waist:  25”

Hips:  36”

Length:  27”

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odors, except for the aforementioned wear to the belt and slight soiling.

This is a rare uniform, especially complete like this - a must have for an airline stewardess uniform collection or a TCA collection!
