This is a vintage 60s evening gown with matching coat, both beautifully decorated with silver sequins, beads and crystal and pink glass rhinestones on pink shantung silk. The dress is sleeveless and has an empire waist with high rounded neckline. The dress is made in a full length sheath style and does up the back with a metal zipper. It is fully lined in pink rayon acetate. The coat has long sleeves and a high waist. The coat is also full length and flares in width to the bottom. It has two slit pockets built into the sides, is fully lined. It has three hooks from the neckline to the waistline, however the neck loop needs to be replaced. The sequins, beading and rhinestones are individually hand applied and are of excellent quality - beautiful sparkle!

It is in very good condition, very clean with no wear, odors. There is some very light soiling at the very bottom of the garments which shows up more on the coat than the dress. There are a couple of very small light yellow stains on the coat. This dress and coat were well cared for, saw little use and was well stored over the years.
This is a wonderful early 60s formal dress - pretty color, beautiful quality shantung silk and striking sequining, beading and rhinestones......this is a high quality evening ensemble....
