Vintage Aquascutum England Pure Cashmere Overcoat Navy Blue Coat Mens Size L

This is an exceptional quality men’s overcoat made in England by Aquascutum of Pure Cashmere - the quality of the cashmere is excellent.   The coat is made in a double breasted style with peaked lapels.  It has a breast pocket and a flapped pocket at either side.  The exterior is made of a heavier weight 100% pure cashmere in a dark navy blue colour, almost black, and the interior is fully lined in navy blue satin.  The coat has padded shoulders and a single back vent.  The sleeves have four button cuffs.  Age is difficult to ascertain precisely due to the classic cut, but the Aquascutum label would indicate that this coat dates to the 1980s.  

Sizing: There is no size tag but this should fit a large size, probably about a US size 44 regular.  Please note the following measurements for fit, taking the cut and thickness of the fabric into account as well as the length of the sleeves and the overall length of the coat:

Shoulders:  22” from shoulder seam to shoulder seam

Sleeves: 24” - there is about 2” of extra fabric in the cuff hem 

Sleeve Inseam:  15”

Chest: 48” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  47” around

Hips:  48” around

Length:  45”, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odors.  This coat looks to have seen little use and has been very well cared for and stored.
