Vintage Bed Jacket Crochet Pink Wool 1920s 30s

This is a vintage bed jacket that is hand crochet in pink coloured wool.  This vintage bed jacket is difficult to date, but stylistically it is constructed in a 1920s fashion with dropped skirt.  My feeling is that it was either made during the 1920s or made a little later, 1930s, from an older pattern.  It has a small rounded collar and cape-like sleeves.  It closes down the front with six buttons, but there are no buttonholes - the buttons simply insert into any stitch space that you may wish.  It also secures with two pink ties, one at the neck and one at the bottom.  The knit is in a combination of open and closed stitches.

Sizing: This vintage bed jacket should fit a range of medium  to large sizes, but please note the following measurements taking the stretch of the wool into account:

Shoulders:  15 1/2” estimated as there are no seams

Sleeves:  26” long from the mid-neck

Bust: 56” around, must accommodate the arms

Bottom:  40” around, adjustable depending on ribbon

Length:  26“, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This vintage bed jacket is in very good condition, looks like it saw little use - very clean with no wear, maybe a stitch pull or two, it looks like it was put away and well stored over the years.
