This is a thistle ware tankard made in Scotland by Buchan of Portobello. The piece is marked on its underside with “Buchan Portobello Scotland Finest Stoneware Made in Scotland 187 2016 and hand initialed by the artist who painted the design. It measures 5 in height with a bottom diameter of 4 1/8. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear. Lovely quality.nice addition to a collection of this stoneware
