This is a vintage pair of earrings made by Christian Dior, probably dating to the 1980s.  The earrings are made of gold toned metal in a square shape.  They have a beveled purple amethyst coloured glass “stone” that is flanked on either side with four crystal rhinestones set in the metal.  They have clip-on fasteners - note that one has a clover leaf opening and the other doesn’t, why I’m not sure.  The backside of each clip is signed “Chr Dior ©”.  Each earring measures 3/4” square.  They are in very good condition with the exception of a scratch to the gold plating on one earring at the bottom (visible in the first photo).  Despite the scratch, these look great and are of very nice quality.

 

This is a very attractive pair of vintage Christian Dior earrings!
