Vintage Christian Dior Polka Dot Beachwear Skirt 1970s Unused Old Stock NOS 26”W

This is an unused skirt made in France under the Christian Dior Beachwear label.  This came from a lot of old store stock from the 1970s that I acquired about five years ago, some with tags and some without - included in the lot were a number of pieces by Christian Dior, but also other French fashion houses, all of it unused.  The skirt is printed with red and green polka dots on a white background.  It is made in a lightweight fabric that is identified as “Polyester Mélangé” (mixed polyester) - I assume that the polyester is blended with cotton.  The skirt is open at the front and closes with a hook at the waist and five buttons down the front.  It is unlined and flares out to the hemline so that it falls in drapes.

Label: Christian Dior Beachwear Made in France. This label does not appear to be very common.

Sizing: No size is indicated - this should fit a medium size, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Waist: 26”

Hips: 42”, meant to fall loosely in drapes

Hemline:  100” around

Length: 31”, measured flat

Condition:  This is in excellent condition as it is unused and was well stored for over the years.

Even though this is designated as beachwear, it would also just make a very comfortable summer skirt.  Super cute vintage unused Dior!
