This is a wonderful brooch made in the form of unfurling “ribbons” in a round starburst form. The centre of the brooch features a large white poured glass faux pearl that is surrounded by black glass “stones” as well as clear rhinestones in two different sizes. The ribbons are curled at the ends so that the brooch has dimensionality to it.

Maker’s Mark: Dominique Aurientis Paris. Dominique Aurientis began her career at Christian Dior while studying at the Sorbonne. She went on to design jewelry for the fashion houses of Chanel, Givenchy, Ferragamo, Lanvin, Celine and Emilio Pucci. In 1986, she started her own line of jewelry, which was sold through high-end department stores and boutiques.

Sizing: The brooch measures 3 1/2” high by 3 3/4” wide.

Condition: It is in very good condition with no noted wear - this brooch looks like it was seldom used and was very well cared for over the years.
