This is a beautiful quality evening purse made in France for Holt Renfrew, a Canadian luxury goods boutique type department store. The bag is micro beaded overall with metal beads. There is a contrasting floral pattern front and back in tones of gold and grey against the silver grey background, with the addition of raised flowers on the front. I’m unsure of its exact age, but I would think 1940s/50s. The clasp is beautifully formed and studded with rhinestones. The frame is gold plated, lovely quality. It has a single interior compartment made of cream coloured satin with a side pocket affixed to the side. The side pocket is gold stamped “Holt Renfrew Made in France”. It has a beaded soft handle, filled to be round in form. It measures 8 3/4” in width at its bottom by 6” in height exclusive of its handle - the handle has a fall of 6 1/2”. It is in very good condition, clean on the interior - please ignore the lighter areas on the photo of the back as this is caused by the lighting. This is a beautiful quality purse - lovely piece to keep and treasure!
