Vintage Laura Ashley Victorian Blouse White Cotton Early Made in Wales Label

This is a wonderful vintage blouse made in Wales by Laura Ashley.  The label dates the blouse to anywhere from the late 1960s to the early 1970s.  Laura Ashley is highly appreciated today for the quality that they produced in those early years - Laura Ashley moved to Wales in 1966, which is when they began to see success.  This blouse is classic Laura Ashley, taking inspiration from Victorian and Edwardian fashion.  It has a high collar and leg-o’-mutton sleeves, both typical of Victorian/Edwardian style.  The bodice, collar and sleeves are decorated with lace and tucking.  It does up with buttons down the back and is unlined.

Sizing: Size 12 is indicated, and although this should fit a size large, please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Neck:  15 1/2” around

Shoulders:  15” across from seam to seam

Sleeves:  27” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve inseam:  21 1/2”

Bust: 40” around

Waist: 42” around, meant to be tucked in

Overall length: 23”, measured flat

Condition:  It is in excellent condition with no wear, tear, odors or stains.  For some reason, there is a button at the cuff but no corresponding buttonhole or loop, so the cuff does not close - you could always add a buttonhole or loop if desired.  This was well cared for over the years.
