This is a vintage smoking jacket or short lounging robe made of blue and black moiré patterned acetate fabric.  The shawl lapels and turned cuffs are solid black grosgrain and the pockets are also trimmed in black grosgrain.  It has an applied pocket on the left chest and on either side.   The piece closes with a matching sash belt.

Age: 1950s, maybe early 60s 

Label: Styled by Majestic Made in Canada

Sizing:  The label reads M for medium, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders: 18” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves: 24 1/2” long

Sleeve Inseam: 16” long

Chest: 43”, taken under the arms and depending on overlap

Waist: 38” around, but meant to be cinched with belt

Overall length: 33", measured flat

Condition:  It is in crisp condition with no wear, tear, staining or odour.  There is a linear weaving defect in the form of a white line on the front of the left shoulder - please view the close-up photo. This is original to the manufacture of the piece, so shouldn’t bother anyone too much.

This is a very sharp looking smoking jacket - super color and rich-looking pattern!
