This is a wonderful vintage Puss n Boots cookie jar made by Shawnee Pottery in the original 1940s Patented version. Puss n Boots was made in a number of variations - this is the original short tail version with yellow bird on the hat, maroon coloured bow and blue around the upper feet. It measures 10 in height and weighs 3 lbs and 7 oz. The underside is impressed with Patented Puss n Boots USA. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, wear or crazing, clean inside and out. This is a wonderful example - great addition to a collection or just as a cute display piece, especially for the cat lover!
