Vintage Yvette of Knightsbridge Crinoline Dress Black and Red Velvet Size S M

This is a very cute pre-owned dress, sold by Yvette of Knightsbridge, which is a famous district in London, England.  I haven’t been able to find out much about Yvette, other than it was a woman’s clothing store that I believe sold its own designs, hence, I believe, the word “exclusive” on the label.  I’m unsure of the exact age of the dress, but I believe that it dates either to the 1980s or 90s.  The dress is made of velvet, black (viscose?) above the waist and red cotton velvet below the waist.  The bodice is stitch embroidered with a swirl design overall.  It has a shawl collar, a rounded neckline and cap sleeves.  The skirt of the dress is supported by layers of black tulle, which make the skirt flare out in an above the knee length.  The dress does up the back with a nylon zipper.  

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this should fit a medium size, please note the following measurements for fit, taking into account the style of the dress:

Bust:  34” around, taken at the underarms

Waist:  26” around

Hips:  Full, meant to fall loosely and flare out

Length:  36” long, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, or odors - there are a couple of light stains on the skirt (see last close-up photo) that I haven’t tried to remove, but aren’t really noticeable in any case. Otherwise, this dress looks to have seen little use and has been well stored.

This is a fun dress, rather unique and certainly of nice quality - cute!
