1970s Vintage Herringbone Tweed Overcoat Mens Coat Eaton’s L

This is a wonderful vintage herringbone tweed overcoat made in a striking black and white colour pattern.  This vintage herringbone tweed overcoat has military style high set wide collar and lapels, a six button double breasted front and a flapped patch pocket at either side.  There is a single 18” kick vent at the bottom back and there is a single button at either cuff.  The coat is fully lined in a black satin fabric. 

Fabric:  unmarked, but almost certainly wool.  The fabric is substantial and has good weight.

Label: Eaton’s Men’s Shops with a knight logo - I believe that this knight logo was very short-lived

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this vintage herringbone tweed overcoat should fit a large size, probably a US size 42 - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the outside, and taking into consideration whether you might want to wear a suit jacket underneath:

Shoulders:  19 1/2” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves:  25 1/2” long

Sleeve Inseam:  16 1/2”

Chest: 46” around

Waist: 44” around

Overall length: 40 1/2“, measured flat

Condition: This vintage herringbone tweed overcoat is in very good condition with no noted wear, tear, soiling, staining or odour - very well preserved.
